Kernel prepatch 6.9-rc4

The 6.9-rc4 kernel prepatch is out for testing. "Nothing particularly unusual going on this week - some new hw mitigations may stand out, but after a decade of this I can't really call it 'unusual' any more, can I?"

Just looking at the first entry of the shortlog: Fixing MMC for Nokia N810? That hardware is from roughly 2007, not sold in big numbers not for a long time.

While I still have one I have booted it only once during the last 10 years and it's still running the original kernel. Must be something starting with 2 for sure...

Was it ever working fully with a mainline kernel?
At one point the graphics driver stopped working, because some major APIs changed or something.
That is where I lost interest. Was that ever fixed?

I have no clue. Mine has the vendor kernel, I have not done any kernel hacking on it even when it was a modern hardware.

Correction: I should have written: I booted it only twice. It's not running of course.

Given the fix, the device clearly still has at least one knowledgeable user, who wants to keep it up-to-date. Admirable.

The QEMU model for n810 has just been deprecated, incidentally, so it will be in the 9.0 and 9.1 releases but go away in 9.2 (along with all the other PXA2xx and OMAP2 models)...
