The acclaimed series of movies about the breathtaking dinosaurs has to some extent popularised the Jurassic period worldwide. Over decades of geological research, opinions about the Jurassic in the Czech Republic have changed. Discussions regarding its possible age and palaeogeographical reconstructions are gradually dying down these days. However, some uncertain Jurassic facts remain to be confirmed. The article also describes a theoretical trace of the real Jurassic World from Brno.
