Shin Bet arrests 20-year-old Rahat resident on suspicion of planning terror attack
The Shin Bet in cooperation with Israel Police on Sunday revealed they’ve arrested a 20-year-old resident of Rahat, a predominantly Bedouin city in southern Israel, on suspicion of planning a terror attack at a hotel in the city of Ashdod.
The man - believed to be a Hamas supporter - purchased materials for a homemade bomb and had at least five hand grenades as well as a rifle in his possession at the time of the arrest.
