Omer Atzili and Dor Micha are the two professional Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer players suspected of sexual relations with minors, Sport 1 reported Monday.
The two allegedly had sexual relations with 15-year-olds last month. Their names were released following a court order.
The two were interrogated under caution twice for the alleged sexual offenses while a third suspect was interrogated for allegedly giving alcohol to the girls.
Since the initial allegations, it has come to light that the pair of girls may have used forged ID cards, which listed their age as being over 18.
The police are expected to recommend the closure of the case against Micha and Atzili, who did not participate in the yellow-and-blue’s recent Premier League championship celebrations and have been on leave from the club from the time the affair was first exposed in mid-June.
